Manufacturing Process

All custom orthotics devices are produced using a three-dimensional (3D) plaster cast, slipper cast, foam impression or foot scan supplied by the practitioner.

Step 1) A positive is formed using Plaster of Paris providing a working model of the patient’s foot. The positive is modified with various tools based on the prescription provided by the prescribing practitioner.
Step2) Using high-temperature thermoplastic, a shell is created by molding the selected thermoplastic to the modified 3D casting. If it is 3D foot scan the shell is directly milled from the CNC machine as per the foot scan.
Step 3) The shell is ground to shape as per the prescription with any excess material removed and edges are smoothed for comfort.
Step 4) Modifications are added to the orthotic device ,Medical grade cushioning is selected, along with the top cover and underlay materials based on the prescription provided,
Step 5) A final finishing step trims the orthotic devices to the provided specifications.
Step 6) The finished product is then inspected by our quality Control team
